Situation and local amenities
The property is situated in a residential area just 100mtrs from the town’s recreation ground which offers a paddling pool, swings, roundabout etc for children, and year-round facilities for cricket, football and tennis courts which are also available evenings and weekends.
A short, level walk by the side of the river that meanders through the park leads to the town centre; - you can see the fish and feed the ducks on the way! Or browse around the Monday outdoor market which is renowned for its bargains. While there, experience the sheep and cattle auctions at the weekly livestock market which brings buyers and sellers from miles around. A further short walk leads you to a variety of quality shops, but don’t miss a visit to one of the excellent bakery/tea rooms, two of which claim to produce the ‘original Bakewell Pudding’ for which the town is widely famed.
