Chatsworth is one of Derbyshire's most loved historic houses and estates. It has something for everyone to do, from the famous art galleries, beautiful water features and amazing gardens and grounds, to the finest shops, food and drink.
The home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire is set in the picturesque landscape of Derbyshire's Peak District National Park.
Attractions All of the attractions at Chatsworth House are open till the end of December. The 1000 acre park, the farm shop and its restaurant are open all year round.
Features Chatsworth has a long tradition of welcoming local people and tourists from all over the world. In the house you can see the most amazing rooms with collectables from over the past five centuries. The garden contains the greatest water features and everyone is welcome to walk round the hundreds of acres of grounds. The farmyard and adventure playground welcome all ages and have special events throughout the year for all the family.
Opening Hours
Below are the opening times for Chatsworth House, if you decide to visit Chatsworth House it is advisable that you give yourself 4 - 5 hours which will give you plenty of time to walk round the ground, visit the house and have something to eat.
House 11.00am - 5.30pm, last admission 4.30pm
Last admission to the Scots Bedrooms is 4.00pm (9 extra rooms, not always open)
Garden 11.00am - 6.00pm, last admission 5.00pm
Garden opens at 10.30am in June, July and August
Farmyard and adventure playground 10.30am - 5.30pm, last admission 4.30pm
Shops 11.00am to 5.30pm
Carriage House restaurant and Stables 10.15am to 5.00pm. Hot food served at lunchtime.
Jean Pierre's Bar 11am to 4.30pm. Hot food served at lunchtime.
Park Open all year. No charge House car park shut during closed season.
