Activties / Golf equipment
There are various types of equipment you will need before venturing out on to the 18 hole golf course.
Set of clubs
It is highly recommended that you speak to a professional about buying golf clubs and finding the right size to suit you, also there are various different weights that golf clubs are available in.
The best option would be to test out various clubs on the driving range; many golf clubs will have various sets that you can try before you buy. It may also be a good idea to buy a set of second hand set of clubs off a car boot to get a feel for the sport.
Golf bag
There are various types of bags for your golf clubs, prices and features on golf bags vary vastly, the most common types of golf bags are; Carry Bag, Pencil bags (Sunday Bags), Stand Bag, Cart Bag, Tour Bag and Travel Bag.
When buying a golf bag it is mainly down to personal preference, but out of the various bags available a stand bag is the better option.
Golf balls and tee
There are several elements in the manufacture and design of golf balls which you must bear in mind when buying golf balls, the type of ball you play best with is down to personal preference.
The compression of a ball will affect how the ball feels when hit. Most ball compressions are rated between 80 and 100. The most common compression ball is 90, the higher the compression the harder the ball will feel when you hit it. A 100 compression ball has a much more "solid" feel when hit than an 80 compression. When on the golf course it is important that you have a tee when taking your first shot on the tee off area.

Golf shoes with plastic studs are a must, there are also golf shoes with metal studs, but some golf clubs will not let you on the course as the metal studs will ruin the greens.
