Derby Museum of Industry and History

Located on the site of John Lombe's Silk Mill of the early 1720s – England's first ‘modern' factory – the museum illustrates the full extent of Derbyshire's industrial achievement. Exhibits include George Fletcher's ‘Grasshopper' and a major collection of Rolls-Royce aero engines.

Opening Times:
Open throughout the year (except Christmas Day and New Year)
Mon 11 am - 5 pm
Tues - Sat 10 am - 5 pm
Sun (inc. Bank holidays) 1 pm - 4 pm

Location: Derby
Dates Open: Closed Mon/Tues/Wed and Bank Holidays.
Open Times: Thurs 3pm - 9pm:Fri and Sat 1pm - 5pm: Sun 11am - 3pm.
