Free Cookery Demonstrations

The Theatre has hosted demonstrations by many celebrity chefs over the years including James Martin and Brian Turner, but on a daily basis our experienced Demonstrators entertain with half hour demonstrations (normally at 12.30pm and 2.3pm) including various recipes, tips and hints – and there’s a free recipe to take away with you to try at home.

Shopping

Our award winning shops include The Denby Home Store. This contemporary store opened in 2006 and is a showcase for all new Denby products and other top brands. Our other shops include Dartington Crystal Factory Shop, Gift Shops, The Garden Emporium and The Denby Cookery Emporium.

Museum

Denby celebrated 200 years in 2009, and you can see examples from the company’s heritage in the small museum. Included are pieces from early salt glazed ware through to novelties from the 1930s and then more recent tableware such as Greenwheat and Arabesque from the 1950s and 60s.

Bourne’s Restaurant

Named after Denby’s founding family, Bourne’s serves Derbyshire fayre using ingredients sourced locally. Enjoy Denby’s own blend coffee and delicious home-baked cakes and a Carvery on Sundays and Mondays. There is also a deli bar for sandwiches and a choice of main courses daily. Bourne’s has a selection of seating areas including the roof terrace.

There are picnic benches in the courtyard and a children’s outdoor play area close to the entrance of the Visitor Centre.
