For peace and tranquillity on your peak district holiday Church Farm Holiday Cottages offer you the chance to relax and unwind in the Derbyshire countryside.
Church Farm, nestling alongside the historic Norman Church of St Michaels and all Angels in the tiny village of Alsop en le Dale and at the head of one of the most beautiful but undiscovered dales in the Peak National Park is the ideal base for your Derbyshire holiday.
Our 4 star accommodation consists of two self catering holiday cottages, Pinster and Winnets. They were converted from a barn on the farm and provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, with quality furnishings and equipment for your stay in the Peak District National Park.
Pinster Cottage sleeps 3+1 and Winnets sleeps 4+1. Prices include heating, linen and electricity.
On our farm we rear Gloucester Cattle, an ancient breed which were numerous in the Severn Vale from the 13th century, and whose milk was used to make the original Double Gloucester cheese. There are only about 700 Gloucester cows in existence. Gloucester cattle are a dual purpose breed - they are good milk producers, provide fine lean beef and were used as draught oxen.
The cottages and the Farm have been awarded the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark certifying that we actively support the best environmental practices in the Peak District National Park. The cottages are also a member of BESST an organization supporting business and environment through small scale tourism.
