A residential village close to Derby that is surrounded by parkland and agriculture. The Parish Church of St Paul’s, dating from 1874, is built on top of an older site that gives some tremendous views of the surrounding areas. There was once a well here, the head of which can still be seen, that produced spring water known as ‘chalybeate’ in the 17th and 18th centuries.
