About Shardlow
A village close to the Trent and Mersey canal that has a busy marina and provides easy access to both the M1 motorway and East Midlands airport.
It has a history of activity around the river Trent, gaining a reputation for being a busy inland port. Many of the buildings in Shardlow are replacements of the former cottages, although there are still some fine old buildings around, and there are a good number of restaurants, pubs and places to stay.
