About Sudbury
The village is home to Sudbury Hall, home of the Vernon family and built in the second half of the 17th century, and also Sudbury Open Prison.
Sudbury Hall is now under ownership of the National Trust, and there is also the highly popular Museum of Childhood next door with its reconstructed Victorian schoolroom and nursery.
