Willington
About Willington
On the banks of the Trent and Mersey canal and close to the River Trent this large village was a good centre of transport following the building of the canal in the 18th century. There have been various ancient artefacts and remains found in the surrounding area, including those of Roman and Saxon origin.
The village has various pubs, shops and its own train station.
