About Old House Museum

This fascinating old house contains a wonderful collection of items from the Bakewell area, displayed to show aspects of local and social history in this part of Derbyshire. The displays are full of memories and interest for everyone.

Opening Times:
Open from 11.00am until 4.00pm daily from April 1st until October 31st.

Admission:
Entry charges are £2.50 for adults,£1.00 for children and Under 5's Free.

Also on sale are guide books for £1.50 and a range of related merchandise.

Accessibility:
There are very limited disabled parking available outside the museum. A small minibus can manoeuvre the parking area, but larger coaches can drop passengers off, with care, at the junction of Monyash Road and Church Lane.

Bakewell's main public parking areas are in the town, and at the Agricultural Business Centre. If visitors are parking in the public car parks in Bakewell, we recommend that they get at least 2hours worth of ticket. The walk to the museum is an interesting one, through the historic King Street area and the churchyard, and the museum has a lot to offer.
