Earl Sterndale
About Earl Sterndale
Set in the Peak District, this village is surrounded by limestone hills and ‘granges’, farmsteads from the Middle Ages lived and worked upon by the monks of Basingwerk Abbey. There is also Dowel cave in the area that contained the remains of the first inhabitants of the Peak District area.
