The parish of Elvaston contains 3 small villages, Ambaston, Elvaston and Thulston. Elvaston is home to the Elvaston Castle estate. The grounds contain wonderful gardens, the mansion house of the estate itself and the parish church of St Bartholomew, and are open to visitors throughout the year.
