Youlgreave

About Youlgreave

A village popular with tourists, as it contains some fine old stone houses and shops and is picturesque in appearance. A water tank, known as The Fountain, is still standing and was the main supply of water for the village in the 19th century and could hold up to 12,000 gallons of water. The village celebrates well dressing festivals around the end of June, and is especially popular with visitors at this time of the year.

There are many fine walks in the surrounding countryside amongst the wonderful local scenery with Lathkill dale and Bradford dale being of particular natural beauty.
