About Ashover
The village of Ashover is close to the town of Matlock. It contains plenty of historical connections, including the site of a Druid temple on one of the surrounding hills. There is plenty of evidence of its past heritage of local industries, which include lead mining and nail making amongst many others, and the splendid Church of All Saints dating in parts from the 13th century should guarantee a visit.
