Ockbrook
About Ockbrook
A small village close to Derby on the main Derby to Nottingham road. Partly Anglo Saxon in origin, a newer section was established in1750 that is known as the Moravian settlement. This settlement and its followers were part of a German Christian sect, and there is a chapel, a school and a row of red brick Georgian buildings.
Elsewhere in the village the Church of All Saints partly dates back to the 13th century.
